A store-fresh Davidoff Petit Corona with a bold yet refined Ecuadorian Rojiza profile. Creamy baking spice opens into fermented cacao, brown sugar, and nutmeg before dark coffee arrives in a final third that stays flavourful but turns a touch harsh near the nub.

Tasting progression
First third
Very smooth and creamy from the first draw, with no wet cardboard character even store fresh. Mild to medium with very pleasant baking spice notes, a perfect draw, and lots of smoke. Ash holds firm despite the small vitola.
Second third
Remains consistent, with a unique flavour profile that is hard to pin down but delicious. Slightly pungent fermented cacao, nuttiness, brown sugar, and baking spices, particularly nutmeg on the retrohale. Medium strength without sting, still smooth and creamy.
Final third
Strength builds and dark coffee becomes prominent with a slight earthiness. Still enjoyable, but it starts to get harsh and take a bit of a dip near the end, so it may not be ideal to smoke all the way to the nub.
Final Verdict
A truly unique flavour profile, perhaps largely due to the Ecuadorian Rojiza wrapper, and consistently delicious as flavours develop into the final third. Remained enjoyable late, though it finished a touch too harsh. Looking forward to trying different vitolas in the line.
