Tasting progression

First third

Very smooth and silky despite a tight draw. Deep, syrupy opening with a touch of pepper, then sweet breadiness reminiscent of cinnamon swirl or danish pastry. Juicy smoke texture similar to Ashton VSG. Spiciness integrates seamlessly rather than standing apart. A pungency indicative of aged tobacco, comparable to fermenting cacao and rich chocolate.

Second third

Ash continues holding solid and not at all flaky. Intensity builds to medium without major new flavour development, though spice increases somewhat. Smoke texture becomes less juicy, sweetness fades, and more savory tastes remain, closer to the regular Rojiza Winston Churchill. White pepper on the retrohale without sting. Still refined, but disappointing to lose the juicy texture.

Final third

Intensity climbs from medium to full, with stronger pepperiness. Texture turns harsher rather than syrupy, and the flavour grows less refined and slightly musty.

Final Verdict

The first third was incredible, but the second and final thirds did not deliver anything special. Consistently delicious underlying sweet breadiness from the wrapper remains unique and memorable. Serious potential to improve with age, hopefully softening the pepperiness of the final third.
