The first Regional Edition Cuban created exclusively for Monaco, rolled in the Montesco vitola and presented in numbered boxes of ten. A savoury, herb-forward smoke with subtle creaminess and outstanding aging potential.

Tasting progression
First third
A classic Cuban twang was immediately apparent, with clean hay rather than anything grassy. Extremely smooth yet notably muted, with very little flavour development and zero spice on the retrohale.
Second third
The cigar began to open up with gentle hints of cacao and milk chocolate, supported by vanilla and espresso. Spiciness emerged on the retrohale, bringing rosemary and white pepper into play.
Final third
A definite herbaceous character came to the fore, with thyme and a strong eucalyptus note rising from the wrapper. Earlier chocolate and pepper notes faded as strength eased off around the 50 to 60% mark before returning with vigour towards the end.
Final Verdict
This Ramon Allones Casino Edición Regional Monaco delivered a very savoury smoke throughout, defined by strong herbaceousness, a pleasant saltiness and subtle creaminess. Construction was very good, though not entirely flawless. The cigar shows outstanding aging potential. With proper cellaring the draw should become consistently perfect, the flavours will homogenise beautifully, the dips in and out of strength will even out, and the spiciness will balance more harmoniously. It is almost certain to reach the 95+ range in time.
