Cuba / Mild-Medium
Sr. Henry Edición Regional Alemania
Ramon Allones
By Benjamin Charles Brown
A 2022 German Regional Edition rolled in the Geniales vitola, honouring Heinrich Villiger with the Exclusivo Alemania band. Savory, salty and mineral throughout, with light strength that builds toward medium by the final third.
In the Cigar DatabaseTasting progression
First third
Savory, salty and mineral from the opening puffs, with a classic Cuban twang and light strength. The profile stayed consistent rather than concentrated, perhaps restrained by the Geniales vitola.
Second third
Citrus notes intensified while strength remained light. A very slight cardamom spice appeared on the retrohale without disturbing the cigar's easygoing character.
Final third
Woodiness moved forward with cedar and eucalyptus, and peppery spice began to show. Strength increased toward medium, giving the close more backbone than the first half.
Final Verdict
A classic Cuban at 89 points: perfect construction assuming good storage, and an ideal morning or early afternoon smoke. The Geniales vitola and straightforward blend keep it from the forever memorable 90+ tier. Excellent value at the original €19 MSRP, but for most smokers the $50 to $80 secondary market price is hard to justify unless sentimental or collector value attaches to this specific regional.
